  3. Hi Soznak,
Take Art run the Rural Touring Scheme in Somerset and we are looking to put a small, funky ensemble in our spring menu to offer some dates between September 2011 – April 2012. The ensemble need to be up for touring small rural village halls for maybe 3 or 4 nights in a row. We can talk through all the details or you could visit http://www.takeart.org/live to see what we do.
It would be great to hear from you about who might be appropriate.
    Thank you!
    Rose

  4. Hi rose How are you doing It has been a while since we spoke about this. Is there any possibility of it still. I heard that Somerset lost most of its art funding

  5. We were dancing along with you today in Durham in the POURING rain, and you were great. My daughter so loved your music she wants your CD . We couldnt see any for sale and couldnt hang around til the end. Where are you playing locally next?

  6. Hi,

Saw you playing in Northumberland Street today and thought you were great. I wondered how much you’d charge to play at an event.

Not sure yet whether this idea has any potential, but I work at Northumbria University, and I’m organising the student welcome event – an event which runs three times over the course of the afternoon of Monday 17th September. We were just going to play some pop songs as people entered the hall, but now I am wondering whether some live music would be better.

The reason I am not sure this idea would work is that the event is taking place in Sport Central, which is essential a big sports hall. We will be installing staging and some professional AV equipment, but, even with those things installed, the acoustics are still not great. So not sure whether your music would work in those conditions. Anyway, I thought I’d get in touch to see if it’s the kinda thing you might be interested in, and, if so, how much you’d charge to play a few songs three times over the course of an afternoon.

I am about to go holiday abroad for a couple of weeks, as of Monday morning, so, if you email me, I may not get your response for a little while…but I’ll pick it up when I get back.

Cheers, and keep up the great work!

  7. Hi, I am a local photographer specialising in portraits and commercial photography; I took some of your band today in newcastle which after editing shall be viewable on http://www.facebook.com/LBestPhotography and wondered if you wanted any of them (Professional Shots) for your website as I have the original resolution and edit.

    Regards

  8. Lovely stuff. Thanks, you gave me a CD when we met at Mintfest.. I loved it.. I also as a result did some research about your Dad.. Amazing. Loved the work.. I am now living in Whitby, would love to make the journey up to you guys some time to hear you/join in a rehearsal.. I play trumpet/french horn/tenor horn and I also write music. You mentioned that sometimes you need to have things arranged at short notice and it might be useful to have someone to do that. I would be up for it..
